Step 2: RAM and PBS setup

The responsibility assignment matrix (RAM) is for setting up responsibility groups in a proposal. Responsibility groups define the organizations or teams responsible for each proposal breakdown structure (PBS) element. Once a responsibility group is assigned to a PBS element, the group's users can be assigned to workflow steps.

RAM groups

To open the RAM, select the proposal you created and click More Actions > RAM.

To create a responsibility group, click Add > Add Responsibility Group. Enter the Name and click Create.

PBS elements

To create a PBS element in the RAM, click Add > Add WBS. Enter the Name and click Create.

Note: You can create multiple PBS elements at the same time by clicking Add > Quick Add WBS.

Workflow step assignments

To view workflow steps in the RAM, click Show Workflow Steps.

To assign responsibility group users to a workflow step for a PBS element, double-click the appropriate cell and click Users.

 

Note: You can also copy the names of users from a spreadsheet and paste them in the RAM.
