Sync data in a proposal

To keep everything in your proposal up to date, you'll need to sync it with the most recent global and proposal data from ProPricer Contractor Edition. The database you connect to and the data you sync depend on the Integration proposal settings.

If the data used in your proposal no longer match your ProPricer CE database, your proposal will be out of sync. Any conflicted data between the database and proposal are colored red in BOE Pro to help you identify what needs to be fixed.

Before submitting or syncing a proposal, it must be unlocked. If a proposal is locked when you attempt to submit or sync, a prompt appears so you can quickly unlock it. To do so, your role must have permission to lock and unlock proposals.

  1. In the navigation menu, click Proposals.
  2. On the Proposals page, select a proposal, then click More Sync.
  3. If your login type requires credentials, enter them in the appropriate fields to access the selected data server.
  4. To also sync the tasks and resources in your proposal with a proposal on the server, select Sync with CE Proposal. You will choose which proposal to sync with in a later step. (Optional)
  5. Click Sync. If you are syncing with a CE proposal, continue to the next step. Otherwise, the sync process will start.
  6. In the window that appears:
    1. Select a CE proposal to sync with.
    2. Select Proposal Rate Overrides to include any rates that are overridden in the CE proposal. (Optional)
    3. Select Estimates Data to include estimates entered in the CE proposal's tasks. (Optional)
    4. Select Sync.
If you forgot your ProPricer CE credentials or don't have any yet, then a CE user with Administrator rights must assist you.
Global data sync occurs automatically when you submit a proposal.
