Submit a proposal
You should submit a proposal when your pricing team is ready to work on it in ProPricer Contractor Edition.
When you submit a proposal, it automatically syncs with the most recent global data on your ProPricer CE server. This ensures your proposal has up-to-date rate information and will be submitted successfully. If any rates were intentionally overridden in your proposal, you can protect those overrides from being updated.
The system-level Additional Fields settings in BOE Pro determine which summary and resource fields are included in all submitted proposals by default. If Allow Overrides on Submit is enabled, then you can select different additional fields for your submitted proposal only.
To submit proposals, your role must have permission to submit to CE.
Before submitting or syncing a proposal, it must be unlocked. If a proposal is locked when you attempt to submit or sync, a prompt appears so you can quickly unlock it. To do so, your role must have permission to lock and unlock proposals.
- Do one of the following:
- Go to the dashboard for the proposal, then click Submit.
- On the Proposals page, select a proposal, go to the right, then click Submit. Or hover over the selected proposal, then click More > Submit to Contractor Edition.
- From anywhere in BOE Pro, go to the breadcrumbs at the top, expand the second menu from the left, then click Submit to Contractor Edition.
- If your login type requires credentials, enter them in the appropriate fields to access the selected data server.
- To change your login type, go to your system settings.
- To select a different data server, go to the Integration proposal settings.
- Select Add with new version to submit the proposal with a different version number. If an older version of the same proposal already exists in ProPricer CE, this option will prevent it from being overwritten. (Optional)
- During submittal, global data in your BOE Pro proposal will be synced with the most recent data on your server. Select Keep Proposal Rate Overrides to keep any rate overrides in your proposal from being changed. (Optional)
- If allowed by your system-level Additional Fields settings, you can choose which BOE Pro-specific summary and resource fields to include in your proposal.
- If resource field mapping was included with estimates from ProPricer CE, select Keep Resource Field Mapping to keep any resource fields and selected values in your proposal from being changed. (Optional)
- In ProPricer CE Location, select the folder where the proposal will be stored in ProPricer CE.
- Click Submit.
