Import CE estimates

Before performing the following steps, ensure your proposal has a direct rate table. BOE Pro uses the assigned table to add resources to tasks during the import process.

  1. On the Proposals page, select a proposal, then click More > Import CE Estimates.
  2. If your login type requires credentials, enter them in the appropriate fields to access the selected data server.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Set up the import process.
    1. Under Proposals, select a CE proposal to import from.
    2. Under Summary Fields:
      1. The Include Summary Field Mappings checkbox is useful if summary fields and their values are mapped in the ProPricer CE proposal. Mappings filter the available values in fields when a task is being created. Select this option to apply the mappings to custom task fields in your BOE Pro proposal. (Optional)
      2. Assign a CE summary field to your BOE Pro proposal breakdown structure. The summary field will be the PBS, and the field values will be the PBS elements.
      3. Assign any remaining CE summary fields to your BOE Pro custom task fields. (Optional)
    3. WBS Elements shows every element of the CE summary field that's assigned to your PBS. Those you select will become PBS elements. Select or clear each element as needed. (Optional)
      • If the summary field uses a title table in CE, then all elements and their hierarchy will be imported to your PBS by default.
    4. Under Resource Fields:
      1. The Include Resource Field Mappings checkbox is useful if resource fields and their values are mapped in the ProPricer CE proposal. Mappings filter the available values in fields when a resource estimate is being created. Select this option to apply the mappings to external resource fields and custom resource fields in your BOE Pro proposal. (Optional)
      2. Assign CE resource fields to your BOE Pro custom resource fields. (Optional)
  5. Click Process.
In step 4c, WBS Elements will be labeled differently if you renamed the PBS.
