Add a resource in a proposal
You can add a resource to any proposal breakdown structure (PBS) element where estimates are allowed. To bulk import several new resources throughout the PBS simultaneously, see Bulk Import Resources.
- On the Estimates page, select a PBS element. If it has resources already, they will appear in the estimates grid to the right.
- Above the estimates grid, click Add > Add Resource.
- Select a resource from the proposal's direct rate table. If your proposal has resource codes:
- You can select a resource code value instead of a resource. The code value will fill in the remaining resource information.
- You must select a resource code value or a resource.
- Enter a unique resource ID.
- If you use the Resource ID Naming feature in your system settings, resource IDs will be named automatically.
- Select an indirect pool for the resource. (Optional)
- Select an accounting calendar for the resource. (Optional)
- Enter values in any external resource fields and custom resource fields.
- The proposal's currency is the default currency for all estimates. If your proposal has an exchange rate table and Multi-Currency is enabled, you can select a different currency for the estimate. (Optional)
- Click Create. When the resource appears in the grid, you can enter its estimates.
Reuse a resource
- On the Estimates page, select a PBS element. Its resources will appear in the estimates grid to the right.
- Above the estimates grid, click Add > Add Resource.
- Click New From Template.
- Select an existing resource from the same PBS element or a different one. BOE Pro will automatically enter the existing resource's information.
- Click Create. When the resource appears in the grid, you can enter its estimates.
